I booked two rooms at this hotel a classic double on the first floor for my daughter and a superior double on the ground floor overlooking inner courtyard for my wife and me.
Both rooms were very well presented. My daughter room was on the small side which is often the case in Paris but our room was a good size.
Breakfast is served in the rooms and was not a problem for us but may not be ideal if you have a small room.
The hotel is in a quiet location behind the Louvre and some will find this an advantage others might want to be amongst the hustle and bustle of Paris. The hotel is very close to Notre Dame Le Chapelle and the Louvre.
The staff manning the reception are very friendly and helpful and this was evident when I felt unwell and they arranged for a doctor to come which resulted in me having to go to hospital for some days during which time they were very helpful to my wife.
This is a reasonably priced very nice hotel and should be on your list of hotels to stay in Paris
This is a little gem of a hotel, in a fabulous location. The staff was very friendly & spoke excellent English. They helped us book our Normandy day trip, tickets to the Louvre, recommended a reasonably priced restaurant, and directions to the closest Apple store (we brought the wrong cord, whoops!). Our room was the perfect size for a family of 3 (2 adults & 1 teenager). It had a queen size bed & single bed, room to walk around, and was very clean. I'd highly recommend this hotel!
The hotel is small yet it has a nice service room was ok and bed is really good! And the hotel is near to everything, like museums, churches, restaurants and Eiffel Tower.... They also served breakfast in bed!rooms are very cleaned and nice interior decorations... Recommended!
A hotel to come back again. The location is excellent, and if you want to find a place to eat close by, the reception staff got excellent ideas Excellent service at the hotel If you want to visit the Louvre, get your tickets at the reception - also for the river Seine cruise.
This is a hotel with a top location, i dont really Think people understand how wonderful this location is. Because of the kind of "inbetween" area this hotel is very good priced for what you get and lots of great things to see within Walking distance. My wife got really sick during this trip and the hotel acted Quick and good and we got a doctor to make a housecall to our hotel room and Everything turned out ok after some Days. So we want to thank the staff for quickly arranging Everything.
Spent 2 weekend nights here. Although we didn't get a room with a view of the church or the Louvre this was made up for by a lovely l-shaped room with a good sized ensuite. Location is fantastic, 5 mins from the Louvre, 20 from Notre Dames and 1/2 hour from Musee d'Orsay. The staff could not be more welcoming and helpful with lots of suggestions and advice on places to visit and getting about. I would definitely stay here again when I'm next in Paris - another great Alistair Sawday find.
Stayed 4 nights in Suite 62, a very comfortable room, including the bed. Faced an interior courtyard, but thus was very quiet, and had lots of light due to multiple windows in the large, renovated bathroom (windows opened). It was a great base for sightseeing attractions in that section of Paris such as the Louvre, the Tulieres gardens and the Orsay Museum. Simple bus ride to Montmarte (with clear directions from Hotel staff). Great little espresso machine in room. Started each day with petitie dejeuner delivered to the room, promptly after a phone call when we were ready. Competent, helpful staff. Lots of restaurants and shops a short walk away. Just what a boutique Paris hotel should be.
We are in the tourism business in the UK and really enjoyed our stay. The style of the Relais is charming and comfortable and the staff always very pleasant and most helpful ~ particularly when our daughter was stranded in Paris by an airline strike ~ and they fixed up accommodation in the hotel for her, for which we were most grateful, even though they were fully booked.
The situation is very convenient for sight-seeing on foot or going on the river etc. ~ again, the Hotel staff were very efficient in finding us taxis for getting easily places like Versailles early in the morning or going out in the evenings.
We all really enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Le Relais du Louvre is a charming boutique hotel with the best location in Paris, France, I am so glad we stayed here during our Paris vacation. The hotel is close to the Louvre, walking distance to Orsay and only about 2.5 miles away from the Eiffel Tower. But when you are in your room you feel like you are in the French country side. The the room we had (#52) was charming, had a king size bed, had a great deal of space with a great closet!! We had breakfast in our room one morning and loved it!! The hotel has many great restaurants close by with great shopping and tour companies. The staff was very helpful, no request was too small or too big, we loved Sophie's sense of humor and thought she was a delight!! I highly recommend this boutique hotel as I know you will not be disappointed.
Accueil courtois. Calme très appréciable, literie confortable, sanitaires à neuf. Petits déjeuners en chambre. Prix corrects pour la prestation générale

Le Relais du Louvre is a charming boutique hotel with a fabulous location in Paris. My family and I stayed for 6 nights in July, 2014, largely on the recommendations from this site; we were not disappointed in any way. The Louvre is right across the street, Notre Dame a very short walk, close to Metro station and many, many wonderful restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful and was very patient with my bumbling French (however, they spoke excellent English)! There were 3 of us so we stayed in one of the Suites (52) and found it very spacious with a beautiful view of the church and the Louvre. Merci beaucoup!
Le Relais du Louvre was a fabulous Paris experiance-August 2014
The room was cozy with enough space for 3
Closet space was fabulous we were able to store everything away
The location right across from the Louvre and the Seine was the best place to be.
We walked all over Paris and when we used the metro or bus transportation it was always an easy return to the Louvre. This was our first Paris experiance and this cozy boutique hotel made it a special one. Would definately return Great value for a very expensive city Thank you Merci
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our European holiday. We found the staff To be welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The location was half a block from the Louvre and within easy walking distance of Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter. There were many great cafes and restaurants nearby offering great food.We had a standard room which overlooked a church . The room was small but very comfortable , furnished well and had every thing we needed. We would definitely stay in this hotel if we visit Paris again.
I stayed at the "Relais du Louvre" in May 2013 while on business in Paris. It has a very cozy atmosphere and is very quiet, particularly considering that it isliterally nextdoor neighbors with the Louvre. Breakfast was excellent (not just the usual croissant-cafe) with fresh fruit and juice. Very convenient to reach, right next to Chatelet-Les Halles. I just booked my next stay there.
The staff are very friendly here and very helpful. The location is very good for the louvre and the notre dame, as well as being located close to some nice cafes and restaurants. The rooms were small, but decent for an inner city paris hotel. We stayed in 2 inter joining rooms which is often very hard to come by. Would recommend if staying with family or planning on spending lots of time in and around the louvre.
I was there with my wife and another couple from 7/12-7/14. I had a standard room and the other couple had a suite. We found both rooms to be very comfortable and roomy for a Paris hotel. The location was terrific and the staff was outstanding. They were very friendly and always offering suggestions of where to eat along with accurate directions. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Paris.
The location of this hotel is ideal - easy walking distance to many major attractions in Paris. The Continental breakfast delivered to the room each morning is very generous. Louvre tickets were included in the cost which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had booked a triple room (not easy to find) and we were very happy with the size of the room - quite large by Paris standards. The room was very clean, as was the obviously quite new bathroom. There is a small lift, which isn't always the case in old buildings in Paris, but very welcome when you're on the 4th floor. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again as it was excellent for a 3 star hotel.
Terrific boutique hotel good things come in small packages. Great position, staff and breakfast .walking distance to Louvre, Notre Dame , St Chapelle, Seinne boat cruise and more. Metro close too, bathroom AND lift were a valued bonus !!
I loved this hotel, it was very central, the employees were all very helpful.
We had a wonderful view of The Louvre and a church. The breakfast room service was amazing, I highly recommend it.
The rooms are small, but cozy, lots of restaurants, cafés, and shops near by.
I would for sure come back and stay here again.
I stayed here on a solo weekend trip to Paris. I had room 45 which was small, but perfectly adequate for a short trip, and which had a charming view over the nearby church (and a glimpse of the Louvre across the road). The location is incredibly convenient, and the service very efficient and pleasant. A very well run place in the heart of it all, and reasonable value for the price and location.
Excellent location near le Louvre, in a quiet street. We had a spacious room that offered enough room for 3 people, on the 5th floor, with a very nice view on le Louvre. Some travelers may complain that there is no breakfast area (breakfast is served in the room) but we definitely appreciated the service, and the food was various and of good quality. Will definitely come back if we need to be in the area.
This was a perfect location for Chatelet Theatre; we were able to saunter there in less than 10 minutes, which was great at the end of the performance in the evening! It is ideally situated in between 2 very central Metro stations; Louvre Rivoli & Pont Neuf. The welcome was warm & informative. We had made a very late reservation for a standard double room and were pleasantly surprised. The room (n° 65) was on the top floor (there is a lift :) and had a fabulous view of the Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois Church. It was spacious, cosy & quiet. The fact that it had an open plan bathroom with a bath tub in the room made it even more lovely. There was also a closed unit with a standard size shower and toilet. The decor is certainly 'oldy worldy/Laura Ashley' with large floral print wall paper, which I found very typical and liked. The real plus was the size of the bed, at 151 x 180cm's it was bigger than the standard and oh so much more confortable because of the extra 20cms! Everything was clean and well maintained. We took breakfast in our room the next morning. It arrived on time, delivered with a smile. It wasn't the best I had ever had, but it was far from being the worst. We plan go back later this year.
Staff was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Location was fantastic! I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Paris from the moment you wake up in the morning!
We recently spent 4 nights at this hotel. The receptionist , Frederique , is FANTASTIC, a wealth of information. She always took the time to assist, suggest or listen. What an asset to this hotel. Location is central to many attractions with metro very close by. Room lovely and good size. We will definitely be back!
Small room, but you get that in old Parisian hotels. Location is great, 2 mins or 4 mins to Metro, 8 mins to RER, 1 min to Louvre.
We had a great little room on the first floor looking straight into the eyes of a gargoyle on the church opposite, Rooms are clean and Easter eggs are left on the bed as a surprise gift. The staff are friendly and efficient, good English as well as French is widely spoken.
Location is perfect, rooms are specious for Paris, very clean. The reception helped with all our needs. Price is a little on the high price but for the location and room size I plan to be back every time i am in Paris.
The hotel is quaint and very well located, we were allocated a nice room on the second floor, facing the gothic church with gargoyles, Our room was an average size for Central Paris standards, beautifully furnished with bath tub which was important to sock our weary feet. The twin beds were very comfortable, the staff friendly. The hotel is on a small street so although being in the centre it is very quiet with Free wifi, the elevator is tiniest, I have ever seen but then hey it`s Paris.
Everything is walking distance, 2 mins to Louvre, plenty of cafés, restaurants along rue de Rivoli, riverside café s, 2 mins from the metro stops of The Pont Neuf and Louvre-Rivoli. The Pont Neuf Bridge across the Seine takes you onto the Left Bank on rue Dauphine in less than 5 mins. This hotel does offer breakfast in your room as there is not enough room for a breakfast area but we opted for the fresh local variety that the several Bakeries in the neighbourhood offered.
I would recommend this hotel for a true Parisian experience.
I stayed here recently with my teenage daughter. It's my third visit to this hotel, and that speaks volumes. It's a small hotel, but full of character. The area is extremely convenient, with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff, without exception, are so pleasant and helpful, and more than happy to speak English.
We just came back from a 1 week stay, we were a family of 4 (kids are 10 and 12) and stayed in room 51, It was a perfect size, the kids had their own beds and we had space to move around. We ordered 3 breakfasts for the 4 of us and still had food left over - we found that eating in the room was a really relaxing way to begin the day. The room faced the courtyard so no view, but VERY quiet - we left the window open at night for fresh air and there was no noise at all. The staff were friendly, the location was perfect for seeing the Louvre and the metro was just a minute away. The only down side was a limited choice for restaurants in the immediate area, if walking around markets is your focus this isn't the right place. But a short metro ride or a walk across the Seine takes you to the left bank and more options.

This is a small hotel, but it was excellent and located in the perfect place to tour around Paris. They were renovating when we were there so there was a little scaffolding inside and they were painting, but they put it up and took it down during the busier times of day so as not to inconvenience guests too much. We stayed in one of the suites (62), which was fabulous, had a nice little sitting balcony (although the balcony view isn't superb it was nice to sit outside and share a glass of wine). The bar downstairs was also great to relax in after a long day walking around the city and even the in-house dog came and sat by us at the bar. About 2 minutes walk from the Louvre and only a few more than that to Notre-Dame made photographing Paris at night simple as well since we had a nice central base. Great restaurants nearby and all in all, a highly recommended hotel, not just for its location, but for its charm and comfort. Regular rooms are a bit small, go with one of the suites if you want more room.

Insgesamt etwas overpriced.
This small hotel with old french charm is perfectly located in a quiet street facing the Louvre. Though the hotel has no communal rooms apart from the pretty reception, the staff are very helpful, (I had flu and they offered me tea) and friendly. The excellent breakfast is served in your room, ask for a view of the Louvre. However it is the central yet peaceful position of Le Relais du Louvre that marks out this hotel and makes it a very good choice. The Louvre, the Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame and the Left Bank as well as many other tourist attractions are within easy walking distance, and there're several metro station close by if you want to venture further.

We had Room 52 on the 5th floor for the first 5 nights. Very clean, well-organized and spacious. The windows look out on the local church and on the Louvre. The front desk staff is extremely courteous and friendly. Huge bath towels and bathrobes. Amazing comfortable beds with lots of pillows and extra blankets. It's on a small street so it is very quiet. Free WiFi works very well. The elevator is tiny, but remember, this is Paris, not New York.
We had room 62 on the 6th floor for our last 2 nights. This room was a bit larger than 52 and has a sunny southern exposure which was really nice in the mornings. Again, very clean and all the same positive comments about the staff.
We had had a bit of a shock on arriving in Paris as the airport shuttle dropped us on a street with a similar name but about 6 blocks away. When we finally found the hotel (with phone help from the staff at the hotel) and told the desk person what had happened, she took it upon herself to contact the shuttle company on our behalf later that day. (We had not asked her to do this but were very pleased that she did). Her efforts resulted in the shuttle service giving us our return trip to the airport at no charge.
We did not order the in-room breakfast, as we preferred to explore different pâtisseries and cafés in the direction of each day's activities.
We have stayed in other areas in Paris on previous trips, including near the Rodin Museum and twice in the Marais neighborhood, but this is the first time we stayed in the center. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend Hotel Relais du Louvre to friends and family.
The location is brilliant. Not only are you beside the Louvre and close to the river, but you are within a short walk of Rue du Rivoli and many shops. You're also a short taxi ride from everything in central Paris. Kong in the Kenzie building is just a few minutes walk away. I highly recommend going there for a drink. As one of Phillip Stark's designs and in a beautiful location, it is a unique restaurant. The food, however, is mediocre. (This is the glass-ceiling restaurant that overlooks the Seine, where Carrie has lunch with Alexander Petrovsky's ex-wife)
Most importantly, the staff at Relais du Louvre are FANTASTIC. Upon check-in there was a mistake on MY part, but the receptionist went out of her way to make sure we received what we wanted. She also rushed to help us with our bags. It wasn't so much the fact that she helped us, it was her enthusiasm while doing it. You could immediately tell that this was hotel that truly cared about their guests. You don't expect to meet such wonderful staff in Paris, but we did! I had also forgotten something at the hotel and when I e-mailed to ask if it was there, they offered to mail it to me! Some hotels wouldn't even reply. 5 days later I received a package with my forgotten (but very important) item.

Two restaurants worth a visit are Le Fumor, which is very close to the hotel and also Aux-Verres-de contact which is an easy walk away. Both had wonderful food at good prices.
Another tip, catch the local buses rather than the tourist bus to experience the real Paris. You'll see more and even if you get lost you'll end up seeing more of Paris. We walked miles and found this was a great way to see Paris and keep the weight off ! Book your Eiffel Tower tickets on line and use the stairs to see more!
The staff are by helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a room at the front so had a view of the church and to the left of the Louvre.
We found the gluten free bakery, which was just heaven to me, we had lunch there and the cakes were just fab.
If/when we are in Paris again, we would certainly stay here, and would recommend it.

On the last day, we ordered breakfast which was absolutely delicious. The cost was 13 euros each which is about $20 per person but one would pay this much in New York or DC for a great breakfast as well so I willingly paid this amount for all of the scrumptious treats we were given.
This was an amazing experience and it has everything to do with how gracious the staff was.
Language was never an issue as the staff spoke fluent English and there was always at least one attendant on staff, day and night.
The room was on the 6th floor but not a problem because of the elevator and for it being one of Paris' hottest weeks, we slept most comfortably in an air conditioned room, (the bathroom was not but it had windows and this was not an issue either because a door seperated the bedroom from the bathroom), With a super comfortable bed to sleep in every night and maid service every day, I was completely spoiled.
The location of this hotel was also very perfect as it is behind the Louvre near a very nice part of the first district with lots of shopping and great Cafes on each corner.
I can't wait to go back and stay in this same hotel.
Whashington, District de Columbia
Right from initial enquiry through to check out the staff were extremely helpful and super-efficient, responding to emails very quickly. They speak excellent English but are also patient enough to stay in French if you are trying to improve your language skills.
We stayed in rooms 1 and 2 on the ground floor and these were perfect for families with an interconnecting entrance corridor. We had our own small inner courtyard which was great for enjoying breakfast. Given the central location the rooms were amazingly quiet with no traffic or city noise audible, although the staircases border room 2 so we did hear people climbing up and down stairs in the morning. Paris was in the mid-30s when we were there so we were very grateful for the air conditioning.
We took advantage of their offer to arrange transport to and from CDG airport and this worked flawlessly. You can also buy Louvre tickets from the Reception staff and as the hotel is so near we were able to walk the few hundred meters to the pyramid entrance for 9 am and get to see the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo before the crowds.
The location means that major attractions are easily accessible; we particularly enjoyed crossing Pont Neuf to Ile de la Cite. There are two metro lines very close by, and for the Eiffel Tower you can get the Batobus from the river by the Louvre or buses 69 or 72 from nearby Rue de Rivoli.
There is no restaurant but a generous breakfast is served in your room at exactly the time requested. Although this initially seemed a little pricey at 13 Euros per person, it was of a better quality and there was much more of it than eating at a local cafe.
The hotel is not the last word in luxury, but the rooms are large and pleasant enough and are well equipped, with wifi, flat screen TVs with UK channels, in-room safes and minibars. It would be hard to find a better location and if you value service and location above all then this is the hotel for you. It is particularly excellent for families and was also surprisingly good value for such a central location in a major capital city.
So thanks to all at Le Relais du Louvre for a wonderful stay!

Colazione in camera perfetta ! Torneremo sicuramente
