Mumi Restaurant

Having opened less than a year ago, Mumi is located 400 meters away from the Relais du Louvre.  Here, meals are seen as journeys. The cuisine is simple, seasonal, made from local products, the gastronomic inspiration coming from all horizons.

Thibault Passinge and Angelo Vagiotis

Thibault Passinge is the restaurant’s manager. This wine-passionate globe-trotter has visited wonderful restaurants such as the Whatley Manor (2 Michelin stars) in Wiltshire, Great Britain, Vue du Monde, one of Melbourne’s most prominent restaurants, and Andrew in Singapore (2 Michelin stars).

Back in Paris, he opened Porte 12 with Vincent Crépel, where he met Angelo Vagiotis who, along with his team, is now in charge of Mumi’s kitchens. Among other restaurants, Angelo Vagiotis worked at Gordon Ramsay (3 Michelin stars) as well as La Torre de Saracino in Naples (2 Michelin stars).

The tableware is very nice and traditional, the tabletops are made of walnut, the paneling is warm, the upholstered chairs are comfortable. Thibault Passinge’s service is “attentive but never invasive”. We were seduced by the first course, the delicate assembly of a superb association of colors.

The value for money is to be noted, as the inventive and refined cuisine is made using particularly fresh products. At lunch, there are two menus available: a starter/main course or main course/dessert menu at €29 and the Chardy Menu at €35 with starter/fish or meat/dessert. At dinner, there is the 4-step Linard menu at €40 and the 6-step Oudry menu at €60 with a food and wine pairing.

Every week, a new dish is created according to the season, arrivals, and inspirations.

Cardamom, wild herbs, and wasabi
Foie-gras, rhubarb, and hazelnuts
Sea bream, radishes, buttermilk
Mackerel snack
Clementines in all of their forms

It’s better to book a table. Bon appétit.
