This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) defines the conditions under which Hotel LE RELAIS DU LOUVRE (hereinafter the “HOTEL”), as data controller, collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal data of its clients, prospects, and partners in connection with its business activities and the use of the website www.relaisdulouvre.com (the “Website”).

The HOTEL acts in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR) and the amended French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978.

7. Confidentiality of Personal Data

The HOTEL is the sole owner of the information collected through the Website. Your data are not sold, exchanged, transferred, or disclosed to third parties without your consent, except as necessary to respond to a request or execute a transaction related to the client relationship, the provision of HOTEL services, or their optimization.

8. Data Controller

For data collected during the creation of a client account and navigation on the Website, the Data Controller is Sophie Aulnette.

In this capacity, she defines the purposes of processing, provides full information to prospects and clients, obtains consent when required, and maintains a processing register. Whenever personal data are processed via the Website, the HOTEL takes reasonable measures to ensure their accuracy and relevance with regard to the purposes pursued.

9. Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

The HOTEL undertakes not to process, host, or transfer information collected from its clients to any country outside the European Union or not recognized as adequate by the European Commission, without prior notice to the client. The Website remains free to select its technical and commercial subcontractors, provided that they offer sufficient guarantees in accordance with the GDPR.

The Website does not sell your data. They are used only as necessary or for statistical and analytical purposes.If disclosure to third parties is required, the third party undertakes to comply with this Policy. Sharing may be required to investigate, prevent, or act upon illegal activities, suspected fraud, threats to personal safety, violations of our terms of use, or to comply with a legal obligation.

Disclosure may be necessary in the following cases:

  • In the event the HOTEL or substantially all its assets are acquired by a third party, as the collected data may constitute a transferable asset. Within the limits of their responsibilities and for the purposes defined above, individuals likely to access user data mainly include customer service agents.

Apart from these cases, the HOTEL refrains from selling, renting, or transferring your data to third parties unless authorized by you and under a GDPR-compliant subcontracting agreement. You may object to data sharing at the time of collection or later, according to the procedures described in the section “Rights Related to the Protection of Your Privacy.”

10.  Data Storage and Retention Period

Unless a longer period is required by law, the HOTEL retains your personal data for four (4) years for clients, in order to achieve the objectives described in the section “Use of Personal Data.” Certain documents must be kept for ten (10) years for accounting purposes.

11. Rights Related to the Protection of Your Privacy

In accordance with the amended French Data Protection Act No. 78-17 and the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access and rectification, update and completion, and the right to erase personal data where the conditions of Article 17 of the GDPR are met
  • Right to withdraw your consent at any time
  • Right to restriction of processing
  • Right to object to processing
  • Right to data portability for data provided when processing is automated and based on consent or a contract
  • Right to determine the fate of your data after your death and to designate persons who may be informed of such data. In the absence of instructions, and once the HOTEL becomes aware of a user’s death, it undertakes to delete the data unless retention is necessary for evidentiary or legal purposes.

Your request must specify the data to be corrected, updated, or deleted and must include a copy of a valid identity document. Requests for deletion are subject to the legal obligations of retention and archiving.

You may also update certain information through your account. To unsubscribe from newsletters or marketing communications, use the “unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of each HOTEL email.

13. Protection of Personal Data

The HOTEL implements reasonable physical, technological, and organizational precautions to prevent unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration of your data. Sensitive information transmitted online is protected by appropriate encryption mechanisms. Access to offline information is restricted to employees who require it to perform their duties (billing, customer service, etc.).

Data collected and stored via the Website are hosted by specialized service providers, including a Property Management System (PMS) used for hotel and customer relationship management.
These providers commit to implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures.

Since no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, the HOTEL cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach, affected users will be notified so they can take appropriate measures, in accordance with legal reporting obligations and incident notification procedures.

No personal information of Website users is published, exchanged, transferred, assigned, or sold,  in any form, to third parties without their knowledge.

The HOTEL may update this Policy by publishing a new version on the Website.
It is recommended that you consult the dedicated page regularly to stay informed of any changes.

The Website may contain links to other websites. The HOTEL is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of these third-party sites.
